How HTML tag works ?

HTML tag defines a specific time (or datetime).

HTML represents the value in many different ways such as times, dates, durations, days, and time-zone offsets.

The “datetime” attribute of this HTML element translates the time into a machine-readable format so that browsers can offer to add date reminders through the user’s calendar, and search engines can produce smarter search results.

User agents can offer to add event reminders such as birthdays and anniversaries, or any event scheduling for user’s calendar.

How is HTML used ?

HTML tag is used to define the following,

1. Human-readable time on a 24-hour clock,

2. Precise date in the Gregorian calendar (giving optional timezone and time information),

3. Valid time duration.Note : HTML tag should not be used for dates that are before the introduction of the Gregorian calendar.
