What is the HTML <section> tag ?
HTML <section> tag specifies a section in the HTML document.
HTML <section> tag defines the section of documents such as chapters, headers, footers or any other sections.
HTML <section> is a new tag introduced in HTML5.
How does <section> tag works ?
HTML <section> tag represents a section of a document, usually it doesn’t have a more specific semantic element to represent it.
HTML <section> tag creates a standalone sections within a webpage containing logically connected content like (news block, contact information, etc.).
HTML <section> tag groups the generic block of related contents which describes its meaning to both browser and developer.
Note : HTML <section> tag can be nested within the <article> tag, dividing the content into groups.

HTML <section> tag divides the content into sections and subsections.
HTML <section> tag is used when there is requirement of having two headers or footers or any other section of documents needed.

What is the difference between <section> and <div> tag ?
HTML <section> tag is represents more specified generic markup section that should be a grouping of content.
However, HTML <div> tag has no any specific meaning and is treated as child of <section> tag.
