What is the HTML <meter> tag ?
HTML <meter> tag is used to measure the data within a given range.
HTML <meter> tag provides the scalar measurement with range which is also known as a gauge.
HTML <meter> tag is new in HTML5 so you must use new browsers.
How does HTML <meter> tag works ?
Defines the measurement of scale in a well-defined range with a frictional value.
Examples: Disk usage, the relevance of a query result, etc.
Note: HTML <meter> tag should not be used to indicate progress, use the <progress> tag instead.
Why is HTML <meter> tag used ?
HTML <meter> tag is used to display disk usage, voting population etc.We can easily measure the scalar data within the range and display in webpage.
