What is HTML <nav> tag ?
HTML <nav> tag defines a set of navigation links.
HTML <nav> tag defines group of navigation links, that links either within the current document or other document.
HTML <nav> tag introduce in HTML5.
How HTML <nav> tag works ?
HTML <nav> tag defines the navigation areas, like the main menu across the top of the page or section.
An HTML document can have several nav elements.
For example,
1. Site navigation within the same website.
1. Site navigation with other external websites.
Note: Not all links in the HTML document are placed inside the <nav> element, it includes major navigation blocks.
HTML <nav> tag can be placed for defining links in the <footer> tag of the website.
HTML <footer> tag is usually used in such cases.
HTML <nav> tag cannot be nested in the <address> element.
Why HTML <nav> tag is used ?
HTML <nav> element is used to represents a section of a page whose purpose is to provide navigation links, either within the current document or to other documents.
Examples of navigation sections are menus, tables of contents, and indexes.
