What is the HTML tag ?

HTML tag is used to define text with strong importance.

Whatever content is placed inside will be typically displayed in bold.

HTML tag specifies enclosed text as strongly emphasized text.

Normally, all browsers render this text in a bold typeface.

However it can be changed using CSS.

How HTML tag works ?

HTML tag is used to show the importance of the text by making that text bold.

Whatever text is present inside the tag has semantic importance for the search engines.

Note : Use the tag to specify bold text instead of using tag.

Why is the HTML tag used ?

HTML tag highlights an important part of a text, and is mostly used for such important contents or warnings.

HTML tag is used to give importance for one statement in the HTML document.

Alternatively, tag may be used to highlight some group of statements/words which requires greater importance compared to the rest of the content.

Whatever text is present inside the tag has semantic importance for the search engines.
