What is HTML <q> tag ?

HTML <q> tag defines a short quotation inside the HTML document.

HTML <q> tag is also used to define words or phrases, used in a figurative sense.

Browsers normally insert quotation marks around the quotation.

HTML <q> tag requires a starting <q> as well as an end </q> tag.

How HTML <q> tag work ?

HTML <q> tag indicates that the enclosed text is a short inline quotation.

Modern browsers implement this by surrounding the text in quotation marks.

We can change the appearance of quotation marks with the help of CSS styles.

HTML <q> tag differs from <blockquote>, which is a block-level element used for longer quotations.

Note : We can use <blockquote> for long quotations.
