What is the HTML <script> tag ?

HTML <script> tag is used to embed a client-side script (JavaScript).

HTML <script> tag contains the scripting statements, or it points to an external script file.

HTML facilitates the users to place a <script> (javascript) within your HTML document.

JavaScript is not the same as Java Programming language.

Common uses for JavaScript are image manipulation, form validation, and dynamic changes of content.

How HTML <script> tag works ?

HTML allows the user to write any type of client side script inside <script> tag in html.

This script tag identifies a block of script code in the html page. It also loads a script file with src attribute.

The <script> element can also be used with other languages, such as WebGL’s GLSL shader programming language and JSON.
