What is HTML <label> tag ?
HTML <label> element represents a caption for an item in a user interface.
HTML <label> tag used to caption a text label for mostly in form <input> elements.
HTML <label> tag defines a text label for the <input> tag.
HTML <label> tag have both starting <label> and ending </label> tag.
How HTML <label> tag works ?
HTML <label> tag is used to generate a caption for a user input such as a <button>, <input>, <meter>, <output>, <progress>, <select> or <textarea> tag.
HTML <label> tag is a normal text, by clicking which, the user can select the form element.
Single <input> tag can be associated with several/multiple <labels>.
And if we click or tap a <label> which is associated with a form control, the resulting click event will arise for the associated control.
Why HTML <label> tag is used ?
HTML <label> tag is used to provide a usability improvement for the users who prefers to use mouse.
If the user clicks on the text within the <label> element, it toggles the control.
